CoachfordCollege.ie started in December 2002 and gathered pace rather quickly. With a lot of design and photo shoots, the finished product was launched in early March 2003. The initial response was positive and the website has grown to adapt to the diversifying needs of the school. Photo gallery, news section and downloads of documentation were quickly added. 

Testing: Rigorous testing on a regular basis controls the entire website. The testing is broad and covers the vast majority of our users. Testing occurs on a number of platforms including:Internet Explorer 4, 5, 5.5 and 6 running on Windows 95, 98SE, 2000 and XP Home and Professional, Netscape 4 running on Windows 98SE and XP. Mozilla running on Red Hat Linux 9 and Firefox on Windows platfiorms. These platform testing ensures that the users of our website continue to enjoy a high standard. The testing section of our website group strives to ensure that the total efforts of the website effort are seen and appreciated by our audience.

Development: The Website team ensures that constant updating and development of the website is ongoing. From regular news and photograph instalments to upgrading and development of javascripting for extra effects on the website itself. All this results in a formidable portal for news and information in the best practice possible for Coachford College

This website won a prestigious award in 2003 from eschola, an EU initiative for collaboration using I.T. with our French Exchange school in Brittany, something we are very proud of. The award hangs on the balcony in Coachford College. We also participate in NetDays.
