Accounting

Accounting is the art of recording, classifying and summarising financial transactions and interpreting the results. The purpose of accounting records is to let the owners know at any time how much the business owns and owes, the value of its assets and how much profit or loss a business is making over a given period of time. Ratio analysis is then used to analyse, interpret and compare financial statements.

In Coachford College, Accounting is taken in Senior Cycle at both Higher and Ordinary level. In recent years, past pupils have achieved top grades at Leaving Cert and also at third level colleges.
