Construction Studies is a study of Architectural Technology. 

It focuses on domestic buildings and deals generally with the built environment. 

The effect of buildings on the natural environment and on the consumer are included. The three areas of study and assessment are theory, project work and practical craft.

Construction Studies is a senior cycle subject in Coachford College and generally follows on from Materials Technology-Wood in Junior cert. 

The subject can be chosen as an option in pre-leaving cert year.

Did You Know??
In the last 10 years, students at Coachford College have achieved highest result in Ireland in a Leaving Cert Subject 6 (yes SIX) times!! Subjects include Physics, Maths, Irish and Applied Maths.
