Choir
General

The Music Department also plays an integral role in many of the highlights in the school calendar including frequent performances at open days, awards ceremonies, spiritual services, recitals and concerts. Coachford College Choir is comprised of music students and non-music student members ranging from all year groups. The choir performs a wide variety of genres from Bach to Beyonce and from Jackie Wilson to Glee.

Frequently accompanying the school choir is the school’s in-house band. Comprised of a central unit of Drums, Bass Guitar, Guitar and Keyboards but also incorporating a variety of other instruments, this student-centred group provides a platform for any musicians in the school to perform with other students while nurturing their own talents.

Coachford College Traditional Group contribute to the school community with regular performances of Irish Traditional Music throughout the academic year, frequently performance alongside the school choir and band in many of the school’s most prestigious events.
