Technical Graphics develops creativity and spatial awareness by getting the students to reason in two and three dimensions.

It helps students to communicate their ideas graphically and allows them to experiment with shape and form, shade and colour.

Technical Graphics is taken at junior cycle and is available in higher and ordinary level in Coachford College in purpose built drawing rooms which allows them immense practice in developing skills at drawing which is reflected in junior cert results.

Students generally take DCG at senior cycle to continue their interest in the subject.
